CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATION DETAIL
Tornado Resistant Walls
Our buildings have been tested to determine the amount of force they can withstand and were shown to stand up to F-4 tornado force winds. The walls were tested by NTA and exposed to wind speeds up to 250 mph. The chart below demonstrates the wind speed that a particular length of wall will resist.
Wall Structure
Walls are designed using interlocking wall sections which provide superior strength and durability. We use an All-welded construction with 16 or 12 gauge galvannealed steel outer walls and 20 gauge cold rolled steel inner walls.
Fire-Rated Wall Structure
We construct our Fire Rated Buildings using a double wall construction, 3/4" gypsum paneling, and R-11 Insulation.

Explosion Relief Panels
Used in the construction of buildings designed to store Class IA and Class IB flammables. Explosion relief panels limit the damage within an enclosed hazardous location. When the panel(s) are subjected to an explosive force, the pressure relieving panel quickly vents the force before it causes major damage. The panels are designed to release at 20 psf. Explosion Relief Panels come standard on our buildings at no additional charge.
